I found your site through another newletter, WinXPNews.com. I want to alert you to a possible issue with the photo gallery: The images open up too low on my screen. I see no way to drag them up to see the lower half. I'm using IE7 on Vista, screen resolution 1440x900 dual monitors. I would sure like to see the whole picture! The half I can see is intriguing.

I am glad to have found your website through Kim Komando's Cool Site of the day.

I previously have been able to get the Blue effect while taking pictures of the castle at Walt Disney World (I took a lot of pictures to get the best shot). However, I have not been able to recreate the effect when I wanted to.

Thanks to your site I hope to be able to recreate the type of shotts when needed. Thankks for your hard work.

Thanks to Kim Komando's Cool Sites I found your bluhour web page.
I was surprised to see Chicago's skyline on your home page. I live in Chicago and have taken that shot many times, espcially right after September 11th thinkinking that if we had a terrorist attack I might never experience this beautiful skyline again.
There have been few ocassions where I achieved a blue sky in the evening hours. Usually my evening and night photos are all a brownish tone. I often wonder why this happens with digital cameras.
I use a Canon D20 Digital SLR.
I will try the 4:51 pm time that you suggests.
Thanks
PS. You talked about yourself on your blog but didn't mention your name.

A.C: You should keep the ISO as low as possible (especially for compact, bridge cameras). So use a tripod if possible.
For noise reduction (if needed) I'm using NeatImage.

Thanks for the neat info and website. Two questions - do you do anything special with exposure (what ISO, for example), and do you have suggestions for reducing digital noise?

Cool page! Thanks to you and KK. I put in our small town and it came up as closest city was Pahrump. I tried again with a different city/state and it still came up Pahrump...did I do something wrong?

Wonderful site, I found it thru Kim Komando too. I did have a problem trying to view your photos, IE said it could not open the website and closed down a couple times before it decided to open it. Had the same issue with your blog, trying to view your photos of Venice, boo hoo!
I did see the thumbnails, and see that you like to photograph unique doorways too! Awesome! Thanks for hooking up this site, I will come back again, hopefully bugs will be out by then..best of the New Year!

Thanks for the comments, let me answer the questions:

Ryan: It created in photoshop using several long expo photos by merging them together. Of course all photos made using a stable tripod.

Ed Henne: Sorry I don't know any tools to create screen saver from photos.

Sharon: I think brown color is more related to the dust / smoke / humidity in the air.

viebs: yea, two blue hour events a day and as you wrote dawn is more difficult to catch... I'll put this into bluhour.com too but I need to test it before it goes online... and I'm a dracula type but I'll manage to wake up early for a few days :D

As someone in the chain remarks, there are two of these times every day, dawn and dusk. Dawn just takes a little more effort, or staying power. You might want to include both morning and evening slots????

I love shooting at this time of day (or night) as I find it brings out a lot of beauty in some subjects that may be under appreciated other wise. I think just an impromptu affectionatos show would be excellent. I think a lot of people will break out their tripods and really get into this, it can make for a delighfull evening(s) for one or a small group of adventurious people.
