Esztergom
by Mice007 on okt.06, 2009, under Hungary
One of the oldest towns in Hungary. Estabilished around 970. It is only a hour of driving from Budapest so really easy to get there. Of course there are other options like a nice train or bus. I’d recommend everyone who travelling to Hungary to visit this place. It is easy to spend a full day there, the center of the town is large enough to allow a lot of walking and also there are several good restaurants, pizzerias. There are also a lot of things to visit or to take amazing photographs. The old buildings, streets are a very nice subject to everyone.
Few hours at Szentendre
by Mice007 on okt.04, 2009, under Hungary
My mom had a class reunion in a restaurant at Szentendre. She asked me to bring her back to home when the party is over so I thought it would be good to have a walk there and to take some photos too at the most prettier part of this place. We were there for a few hours only but this is just enough to survey this part. It is a relatively small area, basically a street called Duna korzó with many sights and beautiful houses, restaurants and shops. Here are the photos I took:
Trip to Italy, part 2: Jesolo
by Mice007 on júl.31, 2008, under Italy, Jesolo
After Klagenfurt we reached the Alps, the best part of our trip. There are many tunnels, viaducts, bridges and an amazing glacier river. We made a stop at a gas station right after entering Italy for taking a few photos. Here we saw a Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé in the parking lot, I was surprised how big is this car!
After the mountains the remaining route was a bit boring and the traffic became more noticeable. We finally arrived to Hotel Janeiro around 6 pm and after the paperwork we got a very good dinner at the restaurant of the hotel. The room was clean and good enough for a week. We bought a nice cooler box for this trip so the cold beer was ready to drink. ![]()
Later we left for a walk, there were many people outside already. After 8 pm cars were not allowed to enter the street of Lido di Jesolo. The street is really so long and it repeats itself so after a hotel there is a shop and then a gaming-room then a hotel again and a cloth shop then a gaming-room and then a hotel and so on.

Trip to Italy, part 1: Klagenfurt
by Mice007 on júl.28, 2008, under Austria, Klagenfurt
This year we planned to visit Lido di Jesolo by car. It is a small place in Italy but it is famous for its 15km long beach with a lot of hotels, shops, restaurants.
We left Budapest on 20th, Sunday and after a few hours of driving we arrived at Klagenfurt, Austria. This is a small city at the south part of the country, close to the Alps. We arrived here around lunch time so made a stop at the first good looking restaurant. It was fun because we only realized that it is an Italian restaurant after we got a “buon giorno” (means good morning in italian) from the waiter. The food was very good and really Italian.
After the lunch we headed to the center of the city for a walk. The city is beautiful and there are several pedestrian zones surrounded by boutiques and mostly Italian restaurants. In the gallery bellow you can see how this place looks like.

Dresden, Germany

During our first visit of Germany we not just looked around in the Phaeton factory but had the opportunity to see this amazing city too! As I mentioned in the previous post we had only a weekend so mostly we were on a bus but fortunately we had a little time to walk around as well. The outer district of the city was a bit similar to several parts of Budapest, like abandoned factory buildings and houses. After we left these places we saw some new and big factories like AMD and Infineon, then we entered the centre of the place. I took a lot of photos so you can see this beautiful city and also some of its amazing buildings like the newly rebuilt Frauenkirche, the long and so detailed Fürstenzug…
Phaeton factory, Dresden
by Mice007 on máj.01, 2008, under Germany
We’ve been invited to the home of Phaeton, the biggest Volkswagen model. It was only a weekend but we enjoyed it so much. Of course, we were prohibited from taking photos in the production area, so I’ve posted pictures taken from only public areas of the building that was equally impressive. It is still unbelievable… this is a car factory? it was too clean and somehow unreal!
The factory is located really close to the centre of Dresden. They use the tram system for most of the heavy cargo traffic.
